Agie Wire Classic 2S wire cutting?

I’m new to Wire EDM. there are some things the machine does that drive me crazy after bumping (edge finding a part, then starting the program the machine cuts the wire, then rethreads it before starting, I get it if your are wiring a die, But I’m not doing this, besides wasting wire it wastes time, a lot of time! is there a setting /parameter you can change to stop this madness ! I can’t find anything on this in the manuals

Any help would be appreciated

The reason it does that is so if the wire breaks it knows where to return for re-threading. You can edit the code (thread wire) but if it breaks you will have to return it to the thread point manually and start over. What’s more of a waste of time? Otherwise call the manufacturer of your machine and see what they say.
